BISCUITS

Oven Temp: 475 F

2 Cups All Purpose Flour
3 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tsp Salt
1/3 Cup Oil
2/3 Cup Milk

Directions: The first step is to mix the dry ingredients. On the side, put the oil in a measuring cup and add the milk. Be sure that do NOT stir the two together. The second step is to then add the oil/milk to the dry ingredients. Mix lightly to moisten everything and knead one or two times to form a ball. Take just about an extra 1/3 cup of flour and sift it onto a hard surface, such as your counter top. Remove the dough from bowl and place on floured surface. Take a rolling pin and flour just a little and begin to roll out dough. You want the dough to be about 1/2 " thick. Then cut into biscuits. Bake 10-12 mins at 475F, until golden brown.

Funnel Cakes

2 Eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 Cups Milk
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 Tsps Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
Oil for deep frying
Powdered Sugar

In preparation, go ahead and heat oil in pan. Its recommended a medium-high heat. In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, and brown sugar. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Then take the dry mixture and beat into egg mixture.

How you pour into the pan is all up to you. There is no specific way. However, if you want to the funnel cake look, take a funnel and cover the bottom with finger. Fill only 1/2 way and then release finger to pour into pan. Let it fry until golden brown. Then flip and fry until golden brown. Usually no more than a couple of minutes on each side.

After removing from oil, and placing on paper towel dust with powdered sugar. I like to drizzle honey on mine. However, anything is good. You can add strawberries, blueberries, cinnamon, etc.
