Run The Race

Paul says this, “Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize?” 1 Corinthians 9:24

Picture a race. Let's just say there's about twenty people participating in this race. This group of people, in their own spare time have trained themselves and their bodies to run. What are they training for? The prize and only one can win that prize.

The scripture goes on to say in verse 25, “And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.”

These people running this race are competing for something that will one day not exist. It's temporary. However, as believers, we run a race throughout our entire relationship with Christ. We're running as hard as we can and sometimes it's even harder to keep up. I say this to you as encouragement:

DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED!
God is running beside you and ahead of you.
If you trust Him, He will make sure you make it.
He say to your spirit, “Come on my child. Don't give up. You have come too far to look back. You can do this!! I'm right here.”
